Context
Air travel is fragmented
Travelers often jump between airline apps, airport websites, emails, screenshots, and flight trackers just to understand one journey. The information exists, but it rarely feels connected — and once the trip is over, most of it disappears into scattered records.
Horizon started from a simple question we kept asking ourselves as international students: what is something we genuinely need when we travel? We wanted one place that could support the journey ahead while also preserving the journeys behind us.
The solution
One Place For The Entire Journey
This is a personalized flight journal designed around the traveler. Users can preserve every completed trip as part of a growing digital travel story.

Making dense flight data easy to scan
Flight information gets dense quickly. I used clear hierarchy and segmented cards to surface what matters first — timings, status, gates, weather, and time zones — without making the interface feel overwhelming.

Taking Horizon on the road
We presented Horizon at COMPPEC 2026 @ NUST EME and the NAMAL Tech Expo 2026 @ Namal University. Showcasing the project to industry professionals allowed us to validate our design decisions outside the classroom.
Reflection
Design extends beyond the screen
We were given the opportunity to showcase Horizon at the Open House & Job Fair 2026 @ Bahria University. To market the app physically, I designed a complete brand identity spanning a display standee and a trifold brochure, which ultimately took 1st place in the visual design category.
